Applied Skills Certificate in Computing is an entry-stage UK-regulated qualification that builds the academic and practical foundations required to progress into Level 4/5 Diplomas — the first two years of a British Bachelor's degree. Students develop core knowledge, study skills and English confidence for higher study.

Entry requirements
Completion of secondary education or equivalent. English at CEFR A2+ recommended, with additional English support available.
Duration & study mode
6–12 months. On-campus, online or hybrid.
Assessment
Coursework-led assessment through applied assignments, portfolio work and case studies. Internally marked at Instituto Sapiência and externally verified by NCC Education (UK). Where relevant, the awarding university sets and marks the final-year project.
Career outcomes
Support engineer, junior developer, systems analyst, IT coordinator.
Progression
The full ladder ends at a UK Top-up Bachelor's degree (BSc / BEng) or, on the postgraduate route, at the MBA Top-up with a UK partner university.
