Level 5 Diploma in Computing (L5DC)
Level 5 Diploma in Computing (L5DC) sits within the UK-regulated NCC Education Level 4/5 Diploma family. It is equivalent to a year of a British Bachelor's degree and combines academic study with substantial applied project work in computing. On completion, students progress into the next Diploma level or onto a UK Top-up degree.
Who this course is for
Students who have completed the previous NCC diploma level (or a recognised equivalent) in computing and want to progress within the UK-regulated pathway toward a Top-up British Bachelor's degree.

Entry requirements
Completion of NCC Level 4 Diploma in the same subject family. English at CEFR B1+ (IELTS 5.5 recommended).
Duration & study mode
Approximately 12 months per level (full-time). Part-time and hybrid modes available.
Assessment
Coursework-led assessment through applied assignments, portfolio work and case studies. Internally marked at Instituto Sapiência and externally verified by NCC Education (UK). Where relevant, the awarding university sets and marks the final-year project.
Career outcomes
Support engineer, junior developer, systems analyst, IT coordinator.
Progression
The full ladder ends at a UK Top-up Bachelor's degree (BSc / BEng) or, on the postgraduate route, at the MBA Top-up with a UK partner university.
